Once you've downloaded all the music and playlist, you can go ahead to set the Offline Mode of Spotify app. For PC or Mac: Open Spotify, click - click File- select Offline Mode (Open Spotify on Mac, click Spotify in the Apple menu, select Offline Mode). So, I have Spotify Premium and I have a playlist of songs that aren't available on Spotify. So, I took those songs from my laptop and put it on my Android phone. No problem there, I can play the songs. But when I connect to my PS4 with my smartphone, nothing gets played. I've seen some people on here say that it is possible but I don't see how.
Use the app to play music files stored on your device, which we call local files.
Download them so you can see them on local files then create a new playlist to add them to. Next download that playlist on your computer so it will show up on your mobile app. Once it shows up on mobile just download the playlist to your phone so it saves them on either your phone storage. Spotify is all the music you’ll ever need. Skip to content. Spotify Click the install file to finish up. If your download didn't start, try again. Bring your music to mobile and tablet, too. Listening on your phone or tablet is free, easy, and fun. One account, listen everywhere. Normally it should be well possible to play local files on spotify if they are on my computer. However, the tracks that aren't on spotify cloud are greyed out and can't be played. I have imported the local files, and spotify recognises them, as this is a new album and the songs are not yet on spotify.
